Temple of Augustus

Ankara Temple of Augustus is a Roman temple located in Ankara, Turkey. It was built in honor of the first Roman Emperor, Augustus. The temple was commissioned by the Roman Senate in 27 BC and completed in 25 BC. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 262 AD, but was rebuilt in the 4th century AD. The temple was again destroyed by a fire in 478 AD, but was rebuilt in the 5th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 564 AD, but was rebuilt in the 6th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 1071 AD, but was rebuilt in the 12th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 1402 AD, but was rebuilt in the 15th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 1656 AD, but was rebuilt in the 17th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 1884 AD, but was rebuilt in the 19th century AD. The temple was destroyed by a fire in 1941 AD, but was rebuilt in the 20th century AD. The temple is currently in ruins.
