The Athens National Garden is a public park in the center of Athens, Greece. It is located between the Parliament and the Athens University buildings, and covers an area of about 10 hectares. The Garden was founded in 1838 by King Otto of Greece and Queen Amalia. The Garden is a very popular tourist attraction, and is also used by the locals for recreation and relaxation. It contains a variety of plants and trees, including a large number of species of roses. There are also several fountains and statues, including a large statue of King Otto. The Athens National Garden is open daily from 7:00am until sunset. Admission is free.
