The Selime Monastery is a Byzantine monastery located in the Selime district of Cappadocia, Turkey. The monastery was founded in the 6th century AD by two monks, Andon and Elpidios. The monastery is located in a gorge near the village of Selime. It is built into the side of a cliff and is accessible only by a narrow path. The monastery has a small chapel and a few rooms for monks. The Selime Monastery is a popular tourist attraction in Cappadocia.
