Chitrakoot is a small town in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The town is located on the Kamadgiri hill, and is considered a holy place by Hindus. Chitrakoot is said to be the place where the Hindu god Rama and his wife Sita spent 11 years of their exile. The town is also home to a number of temples, including the Kamadgiri temple and the Hanuman temple.
