The Oude Kerk (Old Church) in Delft is the oldest building in the city and one of the oldest churches in the Netherlands. It was consecrated in 1306 and is the burial place of William of Orange, the Netherlands’ most famous national hero. The church is also home to a large number of artworks, including a number of paintings by Johannes Vermeer.
