Dholavira

Dholavira is an archaeological site belonging to the Indus Valley Civilisation. It is located in the Khadirbet village of the Banni region in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India. Dholavira is one of the largest and most important archaeological sites in India. It is also one of the most important sites of the Indus Valley Civilisation. The site was first discovered in 1967 by J. P. Joshi. Dholavira is a huge site. It has an area of more than 10 square kilometres. The site has a citadel, a large bath, a granary, and a rainwater harvesting system. The most important discovery at Dholavira is the discovery of the Indus Valley Civilisation's only dockyard. The dockyard was used to build and repair ships.
