Ganga Sagar (Sagardwip)

Ganga Sagar is a small town located in the district of South 24 Parganas in the Indian state of West Bengal. The town is situated on an island in the Ganges River, and is considered a holy place by Hindus. The town is known for the Ganga Sagar Mela, a Hindu religious festival which is held every year in January.
