31. Salar Jung Museum
alar Jung Museum is a museum in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is one of the three national museums of India. Established in 1951, it houses one of the world's largest collections of art and artifacts. The collection includes objects from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
The museum is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Admission is free.
The Salar Jung Museum was founded by Mohammed Mulk, the Diwan (Prime Minister) of Hyderabad State, in 1951. It was originally housed in the Mulk Palace, which was donated to the museum by Mulk's son. The museum's collection was originally assembled by Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad.
