Purmandal

Jammu is the winter capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is situated on the banks of the Tawi River. The city is administered by a municipal corporation. Jammu is the second-largest city in the state of Jammu and Kashmir after the state's summer capital, Srinagar. The city is an ancient Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site. The city is also home to the Vaishno Devi Mandir, a popular Hindu shrine.
