Syntu Ksair

Jowai is a small town in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, India. It is the administrative headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district. The town is located at an altitude of 1,500 metres (4,921 feet). Jowai is connected to the state capital of Shillong by National Highway 44. The town has a number of tourist attractions, including the Soso Tham waterfall, the Jowai Shimray Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Dain Thlen Falls. The climate of Jowai is cool and temperate.
