Shobhabajar Rajbari

The Shobhabajar Rajbari (Bengali: সভাবাজার রাজবাড়ি) is a palace in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is located in the neighbourhood of Shobhabazar, which is named after it. The Rajbari was built in the late 18th century by Raja Nabakrishna Deb, the founder of the Shobhabazar Raj family. The palace is a typical example of Bengali architecture of the period, with a central courtyard and a series of buildings around it. The most notable feature of the palace is the large number of sculptures and murals, which are attributed to the artists of the Bengal School. The palace is now a museum, and is open to the public.
