Kyoto Chion-In is a Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. It is the head temple of the Jōdo-shū sect of Japanese Buddhism.
Founded in 1234, Chion-in is one of the largest temples in Kyoto. The temple's main hall, the "Butsuden", is the largest wooden building in Japan. The temple also features a large garden.
The temple is open to the public from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
