The palace was built by Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah in 1837. The museum was established in 1984. The museum has a collection of paintings, sculptures, coins, manuscripts, and other artefacts from the Murshidabad region. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
