Shashur Monastery

The Spitishashur Monastery is located in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The monastery is located on the banks of the river Spiti. The monastery is said to be founded in the 8th century by the Tibetan king, Trisong Detsen. The monastery is said to be a place of pilgrimage for the Buddhists. The monastery is a three-storey building with a large courtyard. The monastery is decorated with paintings and statues of the Buddha.
