Shikara Ride

Srinagar is located in the Kashmir Valley, in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The city is situated on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus River. It is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir and the largest city in the Kashmir region. The city is often called the "Venice of the East" or "the City of Lakes" because of the many lakes in and around it. These include Dal Lake, Nishat Lake, and Shalimar Lake. Srinagar is a popular tourist destination, with many people coming to enjoy the natural scenery and the many lakes.
