History of Gingee Fort
Gingee Fort is a hill fort located in the town of Gingee in the Viluppuram district of Tamil Nadu, India. The fort is also known as the "Fortress of Gingee" or the "Fort of Thiruvannamalai". The fort is built on three hillocks: Rajagiri, ChinnaGiri, and Bommagiri. The fort is surrounded by a moat and is entered through a gateway on the southeastern side.
