Kunsthalle Zurich

The Zurich Kunsthalle is a museum of modern and contemporary art in the Swiss city of Zurich. It was founded in 1909 as the "Kunsthaus" (Art House), and is one of the oldest and largest art museums in Switzerland. The museum is housed in a building designed by the Swiss architect Max Semper, and first opened to the public in 1912. The Kunsthalle has a collection of more than 5,000 paintings, sculptures, and installations from the 20th and 21st centuries. The museum's collection is particularly strong in works by Swiss and international artists, including Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Alberto Giacometti, and Marc Chagall. The Kunsthalle also has a large collection of prints, drawings, and photographs.
