Museum of Design, Zurich

The Zurich Museum of Design is a museum in Zurich, Switzerland, which specializes in the history of design. It is part of the Kunsthaus Zurich, and is located in the Heimplatz building. The museum was founded in 1954 as the Design Department of the Kunstgewerbeschule Zurich, and moved to its current location in the Kunsthaus Zurich in 1984. It was renamed the Zurich Museum of Design in 2006. The museum's collection includes over 100,000 objects, dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, including furniture, textiles, graphic design, and industrial design.
