Kapil Dhara

Amarkantak is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mandla district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the location of the source of the Narmada River. The Amarkantak region is a very important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. The source of the Narmada River is considered to be a sacred place, and the river is considered to be one of the most holy in India. The Narmada Parikrama, a pilgrimage which follows the entire course of the Narmada River, is a popular religious activity for Hindus. Amarkantak is also home to the Amarkantak Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to a variety of animals, including tigers, leopards, deer, and monkeys.
