Amarkantak Shiv Chaturdashi is an important Hindu festival celebrated in the Amarkantak region of Madhya Pradesh. The festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is celebrated on the 14th day of the dark fortnight of the Hindu month of Kartik. On the day of the festival, devotees take a holy dip in the Narmada River and offer prayers to Lord Shiva. A large fair is also held in the region on the occasion.
