The Monastery of Pedralbes is a former monastery located in the Pedralbes neighborhood of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was founded in 1327 by Queen Elisenda de Montcada, wife of King James II of Aragon. The monastery was inhabited by Benedictine nuns until the Spanish Civil War, when it was abandoned. In 1969, the monastery was purchased by the government of Catalonia and turned into a museum. The monastery is a notable example of Catalan Gothic architecture, and contains a number of notable works of art, including paintings by Bartolomé Bermejo, Jaume Huguet, and Pedro Serra.
