Park Guell

Park Guell is a public park and garden complex located in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built from 1900 to 1914. Park Guell is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park Guell was originally commissioned by the wealthy industrialist Eusebi Güell as a residential estate but was opened to the public in 1926. The main attraction of the park is the monumental main staircase, which zigzags up the hill to the top of a hill where there are a few buildings, including Gaudí's house, which is now a museum. The park has a total of 83 hectares (206 acres) of land, of which 22 hectares (54 acres) are the gardens and the rest is forest. The park can be accessed by metro (L3), by bus (24, 92, 116, V17, H10), or on foot.
