Hosdurg Beach

Bekal is a small town in Kasaragod district, Kerala, South India. It is situated about 30 km from the district headquarters at Kasaragod and about 125 km from the state capital at Thiruvananthapuram. The town is located on the banks of the Bekal Fort Canal. The town is well known for Bekal Fort, a large fort built by the rulers of the erstwhile Kasaragod principality. The fort is open to visitors and offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and the Backwaters. The town is also known for its beach, which is located about 1 km from the town center. The beach is a popular picnic spot and is also frequented by anglers.
