Royal Chapel

The Granada Royal Chapel, also known as the Chapel of Charles V, is a royal chapel located in Granada, Andalusia, southern Spain. The chapel was commissioned by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain, and designed by the architect Pedro Machuca. Construction began in 1517 and was completed in 1523. The chapel is a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance styles, and is noted for its intricate Moorish-inspired decoration. The chapel's most notable feature is the ceiling, which is covered in intricate carved woodwork and painted with religious scenes. The chapel also contains a number of notable artworks, including a painting of the "Last Supper" by Titian and a sculpture of the "Adoration of the Magi" by Michelangelo. The Granada Royal Chapel is open to the public and is a popular tourist attraction in Granada.
