Kemmanagundi is a hill station in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, India. It is located at an altitude of 1,634 metres (5,364 feet). The name Kemmanagundi is derived from the Kannada words Kemmana (hill) and Gundi (peak). Kemmanagundi is a popular tourist destination, and is known for its coffee plantations, viewpoints, and trekking routes. The Doddabetta Peak, which is the highest peak in the region, is located near Kemmanagundi. The nearest railway station is at Birur, which is located around 30 kilometres (19 miles) from Kemmanagundi.
