Alpather Lake is a high altitude alpine lake located in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is at an altitude of 4,600 metres (15,088 feet). The lake is about 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) long and 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) wide. It is the source of the Alaknanda River.
