Mahalasa Temple

Kumta Mahalasa Temple is a Hindu temple situated in Kumta, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka, India. The temple is dedicated to Mahalasa, the consort of the Hindu god Shiva. The temple is situated in the heart of Kumta town and is the main attraction for the tourists. The temple has a five-storey tower and a large hall. The temple is well-maintained and is visited by a large number of pilgrims throughout the year. The temple is also known for its annual festival which is celebrated in the month of January.
