5. Jaganmohan Palace
aganmohan Palace is a palace in the city of Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is now a museum, and is the second most visited tourist attraction in the city after the Mysore Palace.
The palace was built by the Wodeyar dynasty ruler Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV in 1861, at the site of the old fort. The palace was originally called the Jayalakshmi Vilas, and was used as a summer palace by the royal family. The building was extensively renovated in 1897 by Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV's son, Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar.
The palace was used as a museum from 1951 to 2006, and was reopened as a museum in January 2007. The museum is now administered by the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage of the Government of Karnataka.
The Jaganmohan Palace is a two-storeyed palace built in the Indo-Saracenic style. The palace has a central courtyard, and is decorated with arches, domes, and turrets. The palace has a rich collection of paintings, including works by Raja Ravi Varma, M. F. Husain, and K. Venkatappa. The palace also has a collection of sculptures, including a statue of the Hindu god Shiva and a statue of the Jain saint Bahu
