9. Yumthang
Sikkim is a district of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is bordered by Tibet to the north, the east by Nathu La, the south by the Teesta River and the west by the district of West Sikkim. The district is rich in natural resources, and is home to a large number of glaciers and high-altitude lakes. The district is also known for its hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic properties.
The district is divided into three administrative subdivisions: Lachung, Yumthang Valley and Lachen. Lachung is the most populous subdivision, while Yumthang Valley is the least populous.
