Shiva Ghar

Situated at an altitude of 1,804 meters, on a hillock in the Pir Panjal Range, is the holy shrine of Lord Shiva, known as Maha Mrityunjaya Temple. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is visited by lakhs of pilgrims every year. The temple is said to be around 1,000 years old. It is said that the temple was built by a Pandava king, Yudhishthira. The temple has a unique Shivlinga, which is said to have been made of ice. The temple is open from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm.
