3. Raigad Fort
d Fort is a fort situated in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. The fort was the capital of the Maratha Empire from 1674 to 1782.
The fort is a popular tourist destination. It is also the place where Shivaji Maharaj coronated himself as the Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire.
The fort is spread across an area of 400 acres. It is surrounded by the Sahyadri Mountains.
