Parque Maria Luisa

Seville’s Parque Maria Luisa is a leafy and lovely public space in the heart of the city. It’s a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, who come to enjoy a walk, a picnic or a game of football. The park is named after Maria Luisa of Bourbon-Parma, the last queen of Spain. It was built in the early 20th century, in preparation for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition. The park is a beautiful green space, full of winding paths, grand fountains and shady trees. There’s also a large pond, which is popular with ducks and other wildlife. The park is a great place to take a relaxing stroll, or to sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There are also plenty of places to have a picnic, or to stop for a coffee or a bite to eat. The park is also home to a few interesting historical landmarks. These include the Plaza de España, a grand square with a tiled roof, and the Palacio de San Telmo, a beautiful palace with a red tile roof.
