This park is named after the Lady Hydari, the late wife of the then Governor of Assam Sir Michael Hydari. It was inaugurated in November, 1978 by the then Governor of Meghalaya, P.C. Choudhury. This park is located on the outskirts of the city and is spread over an area of about 100 acres. It is a well-maintained park with a lot of flowering plants and trees. There is a small lake in the park which is a popular spot for boating. The park also has a children's play area and a few restaurants.
