Botanical Garden

The Yercaud Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located in the town of Yercaud, in the Salem district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The garden is maintained by the Horticulture Department of the state government. The garden was established in 1872 by the British colonial administration. It is one of the oldest botanical gardens in India. The garden is spread over an area of and contains more than 2,000 species of plants, including orchids, ferns, and medicinal plants. It also has a rock garden and a children's play area. The garden is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Admission is free.
