About Nagarhole national park Nagarhole National Park is a national park located in the Indian state of Karnataka. It was established in 1955 as the Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary. The park was declared a national park in 1974. Nagarhole National Park is located in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is contiguous with the Bandipur National Park to the northwest and Mudumalai National Park to the northeast. Together, the three parks form the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the first such reserve in India.
The park is situated in the Kodagu district and is spread over an area of 643 km². It is known for its wildlife, including elephants, tigers, leopards, gaur, and Indian bison. The park is also home to around 250 species of birds.
The park is open from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
