Narmadakund

Amarkantak is a small town in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located on the banks of the Narmada River. The town is considered holy by Hindus and is a popular pilgrimage site. The Narmada is considered to be a sacred river and is the only river in India that is considered to be a tirtha, or holy river. There are a number of temples located in and around Amarkantak. The most popular temples are the Amarkantak Temple, the Mahakaleshwar Temple, and the Bhimashankar Temple. The Amarkantak Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and is located on the banks of the Narmada River. The Mahakaleshwar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and is located in the city of Ujjain. The Bhimashankar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and is located in the city of Pune. Amarkantak is also home to the Narmada Parikrama, a pilgrimage that is undertaken by Hindus who wish to circumnavigate the entire Narmada River. The Narmada Parikrama is a journey that covers a distance of approximately 1,000 kilometers and takes approximately two months to complete.
