The Numismatic Museum of Athens is a museum in Athens, Greece, that houses a large collection of coins and medals. The museum is housed in the building of the Bank of Greece on Panepistimiou Street in the city centre. The building is a neoclassical design by the Danish architect Theophil Hansen, and was completed in 1844. The museum reopened in November 2010 after a two-year renovation. The Numismatic Museum of Athens is open every day from 09:00 to 16:00. Admission is free.
