2. Akshardham Temple
inagar Akshardham Temple is a Hindu temple complex located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It was inaugurated on November 6, 1992 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of the Swaminarayan sect. The temple is built on the banks of the Sabarmati River, and is dedicated to Swaminarayan, who is worshipped as the supreme god.
The temple complex is made up of a large central temple, flanked by two smaller temples, and is adorned with carved stone pillars, domes, and sculptures. The main temple houses a large statue of Swaminarayan, and the walls of the temple are decorated with carvings depicting scenes from the Hindu scriptures.
