Tirupparankundram Murugan Temple

Murugan temple is one the famous temple located in the town of Tirupparankundram, in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Murugan, who is also known as Kartikeya or Subrahmanya. The temple is said to be around 2000 years old and is dedicated to the god Shiva. The temple complex houses the main shrine of Lord Murugan, as well as a number of smaller shrines dedicated to other Hindu gods and goddesses.
