The museum is housed in the historic Eretz Israel Museum building, which was originally built in 1932 as the Palestine Museum. The building was designed by the German architect Erich Mendelsohn. The museum's collections include archaeological artifacts, items from the history of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, paintings and sculptures, and items from the modern history of Israel. The museum is open from Sunday to Thursday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Fridays. Admission is free for children up to the age of 18, and for students and senior citizens. Admission for adults is 20 shekels.
