The Ringstraße is 5.3 kilometers (3.3 miles) long and links the Volksgarten in the north with the Heldenplatz in the south, and passes by the Hofburg, the Parliament, the University, and the City Hall. Today, the Ringstraße is a major tourist attraction and a busy thoroughfare.
