Basilica di San Petronio

The Basilica di San Petronio is a large, imposing church in the heart of Bologna, Italy. It is the city's largest church and one of its most significant monuments. Construction on the church began in the 14th century, but it was never completed. The imposing facade is the work of the 15th century artist, Jacopo della Quercia. The interior is vast and spectacular, with a huge barrel-vaulted ceiling and a number of important works of art.
